MarketBase Workshops, Clinics and Coaching Services

Workshops:

MarketBase workshops are single-day programs for 2 to 5 key people that focus on problem-solving a specific marketing/ communications strategy, such as:

  • developing a marketing plan
  • implementing and leveraging a tenant satisfaction program
  • understanding the media
  • developing an effective, proactive publicity program.

Clinics:

MarketBase clinics are programs designed for 3 to 7 people who are interested in acquiring and applying the basics of People, Property and Process techniques and skills of marketing/ communications. Clinics are customized according to client's needs, schedules and budgets. For example, weekly clinics consisting of 1, 2, 3 or more days may be necessary in order to maintain (or sustain) team momentum during the research, development and implementation phases of a marketing program.

Coaching Services:

Coaching services are available for established clients who have experienced either a workshop or a clinic—or both—and who need assistance keeping on track with their marketing progress.

Through face-to-face meetings, tele-coaching or e-coaching, MarketBase helps commercial real estate clients define, enhance and leverage their promotional strategies. We’ll help you achieve topic-specific goals and arrive at solutions to achieve sales and/or leasing objectives through proactive promotional strategies. Together, we will develop a new marketing plan, or identify the strengths of your existing marketing plan and shore up the areas that need it.

A MarketBase contact and a client-designated contact work together to help your business or property stay competitive and viable through these coaching options:

  • Face-to-face meetings—at the client's office and/or subject property. Meetings take place monthly, depending on budget.
  • Tele-coaching—1/4 to 1/2 hour weekly telephone consultations.
  • E-coaching—a minimum of 2 to 5 e-mail communications per week.

Customized Marketing Know-How

Here’s how we develop our interactive workshops and clinics:

Before we schedule a date, our clients complete a confidential needs analysis survey and discuss budget and other needs with a MarketBase representative. A date is then set for a personal visit from the MarketBase facilitator, who meets with your company’s representative and tours the property in question—all in preparation for the customized workshop or clinic. Then, working together, we determine a time frame and preliminary objectives, and select a date and place for the workshop or clinic.

Our clients have homework to do in advance:

  • Provide information about the building's (or business's) current marketing plan, market conditions and the people involved.
  • Provide brokerage reports, rent rolls, and existing or past collateral materials.
  • Provide newspaper clippings and any other pertinent information about the property and the business.

Then we discuss:

  • Who should attend the workshop or clinic: such as your marketing manager or marketing consultant, owner, property manager or property maintenance superintendent, sales/leasing specialist, advertising agency representative or free-lance creative specialist, architect.
  • The agenda and activities for the workshop or clinic.
  • The learning objectives; that is, what your staff will understand or be able to do after the workshop or clinic.
  • How MarketBase will follow up after the workshop or clinic.
  • Our fee structure and contractual requirements.
