Questions
our clients might ask about our workshops and clinics:
- Who are the workshops and clinics intended for?
Commercial real estate business and/or property marketers
- What is the length of the clinic?
Usually one day to cover each topic; a clinic typically
takes 3 to 10 days over a two-week period, depending
on the client’s
need and the number of attendees.
- What is the length of the workshop?
Usually 3 to 5 hours, focusing on one topic.
- Where are they held?
We can work in your conference room or, if available, a
vacant space in the subject property.
- What type of setting do you need?
We need a conference room or a room in the subject property
with tables and chairs.
- How many MarketBase facilitators will be at the workshop
or clinic?
One.
- What’s the best number of attendees for a workshop
or clinic?
For a workshop, 2 to 5 key people is the best scenario;
for a clinic, 3 to 7 participants is best.
- What are typical goals and objectives for a clinic?
Goal: Teach marketers to become problem
solvers and to follow through on the marketing phase of
selling/leasing properties
or their business with confidence.
Clinic Objectives: Identify the 3 Ps of
property marketing: People, Property, and Process.
Through brainstorming and discussion, we will identify
areas of concern and/or weaknesses that should be strengthened.
Together, we will develop a realistic preliminary plan
of
action with responsibilities and timeframes.
- Can you give more detail on the content areas
for clinics?
- People Power: Who is responsible
for marketing in your business or agency? What
are their roles, levels
of experience and
expertise? Who are the support players on your
team? Who are the influencers?
- Property: This is
your most powerful promotional tool!
Together, we’ll inspect and critique the property,
and discuss how to emphasize the positive, competitive
points,
and modify or minimize
what’s not.
- Process: Here’s where we talk about The Marketing
Plan. We’ll review your existing plan
or develop one, and consider existing tools,
resources, and sourcing
professionals.
We also examine competitive conditions and market
nuances. This portion usually requires multiple
sessions and
often dovetails into a coaching relationship.

more about coaching.)
- Tools, Techniques and Tips: We
talk in detail about the following
important considerations in your marketing plan:
Public relations
Customer service
Advertising
Signs
Collateral materials
Internet marketing
Special events
Direct mail
Presentations
Promotional products
Marketing centers, building and
site models
Trade show
- What are the typical goals for a workshop?
Workshops help the team enter the marketing phase with
confidence. Workshops usually
focus on one special topic that the client needs
help with—like
a logo, a special event, a marketing packet. Clients
walk out knowing what they need to do and how
they will do
it.
- Will participants come away with handouts?
We hand out pertinent chapters of Joyce’s
